About Us

Mason & Harmon, PLLC was founded in March 2008 by husband-and-wife attorneys Charles S. “Charlie” Harmon and Monica L. Mason. The two attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law together, where both served as editors of the Law Review, with Monica serving as Editor-in-Chief.

With nearly 60 years of combined legal experience, our firm provides trusted counsel in Real Estate, Probate, Estate Planning, and Surrogacy Law.

Monica L. Masont

Monica L. Mason is a partner at Mason & Harmon, PLLC, where she provides clients with trusted counsel in real estate, probate, estate planning, and family-building matters. With a legal background strengthened by more than 11 years of prior paralegal experience in the Little Rock and North Little Rock area, Ms. Mason brings both practical insight and depth of experience to her work on behalf of individuals and families. She earned her law degree in 1998 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. Before co-founding Mason & Harmon, PLLC in March 2008 with her husband, Charlie Harmon, she practiced litigation, family law, adoption, and surrogacy law with a large Little Rock firm before entering solo practice in Sherwood in 2003. Since March 2008, she has focused her practice at Mason & Harmon, PLLC on real estate, probate, estate planning, and surrogacy-related matters.

Ms. Mason has a particularly distinguished focus on surrogacy and surrogate parenting and is among the few attorneys in Arkansas with substantial experience in surrogacy, assisted reproduction, embryo adoption, and egg donation. In these highly specialized areas, she offers informed, trusted counsel to intended parents, surrogates, and donors, helping clients move forward with clarity and confidence while navigating sensitive and deeply personal legal matters.

Outside the office, Ms. Mason enjoys gardening with her terrier, reading, painting, and relaxing in front of the television with her husband.

Charles S. Harmon

Charles S. “Charlie” Harmon is a partner at Mason & Harmon, PLLC, where he provides clients with trusted counsel in real estate, estate planning, and probate matters. With decades of professional experience spanning both the insurance and legal industries, Mr. Harmon brings a practical, business-minded perspective to helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate important transactions and long-term planning decisions. Before earning his law degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law in 1997, he spent 15 years in the life and health insurance industry managing a family-owned insurance agency, an experience that continues to inform his thoughtful approach to client service and risk management. Mr. Harmon began his legal career practicing tax law and estate planning with Hyden, Miron & Foster and later expanded his practice at Williams & Anderson LLP and Quattlebaum, Grooms & Tull PLLC, where he handled estate planning, real estate, and banking law matters. He also served as real estate counsel for Dillard’s Inc. In March 2008, he began practicing with his wife, Monica Mason, as a partner in Mason & Harmon, PLLC, with an interim period from 2017 to 2020 as an attorney for the Social Security Administration. Charlie returned to the firm in 2023 where his primary areas of practice include real estate, estate planning, and probate law.

Outside the office, Mr. Harmon enjoys spending time with his family, playing with the family dogs, reading, and relaxing in front of the television with his wife. He also devoted 18 years to public service as a member of the Sherwood City Council, retiring at the end of 2024.
